Blackberry Popsicles
In summertime, when the blackberries start to ripen, we make everything out of them. The most delicious flavour is a perfectly ripened blackberry — juice bursting on your tongue, flavour enveloping your mouth.
The kids wanted popsicles, so that's what we made with them.
Ingredients
- 4 cups blackberries
- 1 cup yogurt
- ¼ cup maple syrup * * optional
Instructions
- Add the blackberries, yogurt, and maple syrup (if using) to a blender. Blend until completely smooth.
- Pour the mixture through a large strainer set over a bowl to remove the seeds. Use a spoon or spatula to press the pulp through.
- Transfer the strained mixture into a large glass measuring cup for easy pouring.
- Pour into popsicle molds and freeze for 24 hours.
- Enjoy!
Notes
- Yields approximately 6–8 popsicles, depending on the size of your molds.
- For the brightest flavour, use fully ripe, juicy blackberries.
- Plain or vanilla yogurt both work well. Greek yogurt will make a slightly thicker, creamier popsicle.
